Barcamp? No, no, THATCamp!

As you probably know, my field of research is centred in the relation between new technologies and History. It is very interesting to notice how people from Humanities are introducing new media in their work and how they are using them.

Yesterday, I found out that the Center for History and New Media from George Mason University organized a THATCamp:

Short for “The Humanities and Technology Camp”, THATCamp is a BarCamp-style, user-generated “unconference” on digital humanities. THATCamp is organized and hosted by the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University, Digital Campus, and THATPodcast.

You can find some thoughts about this year’s THATCamp here.

Maybe we could have one in Portugal? What do you think?

  1. That’s nice! I really don’t know yet if I have the opportunity to go to Digital Humanities 2009. It would be great. Let’s see…
    Thanks for the information🙂
